Mariana J. Rigel
Mariana J. Rigel founded Music Together Newburyport in July 2021, after teaching Music Together® and Canta y Baila Conmigo® for 8 years and directing her own centre in Rome, Italy for many years. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Mariana believes that music should be shared, and that basic musical knowledge is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children.
Born in Rome, Italy, from an American father and Argentinean mother, Mariana is fluent in three languages (English, Spanish, Italian) and is a professional translator, jazz singer, and early childhood music educator. She has been awarded Certification Level 1 by Music Together for outstanding achievement in teaching and articulating of the program, and has extensive experience in teaching both mixed-age and babies classes. Mariana has also been trained in Orff Schulwerk music applications for young children ages 0-11 and in Drum Circle facilitation.
Mariana’s extensive musical knowledge, her performance background and her teaching experience in both parent-child classes and private vocal classes make her a great teacher and director.
When she is not teaching Mariana can be found working on her farm with her husband in Beverly, MA (www.mgfarm.org), hiking or hanging out with her two elderly Chihuahuas.
"There is nothing quite as rewarding as working with young children and families and the connection and relationship which we create throughout the semester is something magical."

Teresa Coelho
Teresa is celebrating her 15th anniversary teaching the Music Together program!
In 2006, Teresa fell in love with the Music Together program for its philosophy, educational content, and overall quality level. Recognizing the importance of music in her own child’s life, she realized that the North Shore was in need of a quality music & movement program lead by an accomplished professional musician / educator and brought the Music Together classes to Salem, Marblehead, Beverly Farms and Rockport.
Teresa has over 30 years experience as a Performing Arts Educator as well as a performer, and holds a Music Education Degree from UNI-RIO (University of Rio de Janeiro). Growing up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Teresa started singing and making music in her teens. While in Rio, she has been professionally involved in choirs both as a singer and conductor, performed and contributed to the music direction of few awarded children’s theater plays, was a sought-after singer & flute player, performed with several music groups exploring elements of both the traditional Brazilian music and jazz styles. Teresa has released two CDs including her compositions and new arrangements of Brazilian music classics and has been featured in several artists’ records as well.
Now a days, Teresa is thrilled to be doing what she loves the most, which is working with kids, igniting their love for music in children and their families by suggesting ways to actively make music & helping to create a musical environment both in her classes and the children’s homes.
An alumni of Berklee College of Music (Boston), where she studied arranging, songwriting and vocal improvisation, Teresa lives in the North Shore with her family. When she's not busy teaching her parent-child & preschool classes she can be found taking long walks at the beach, sometimes even in the winter bbrrrrr :)
"Music Together Newburyport is excited to have her onboard our team as one of our In School Music Specialist."

Bethany Kimball
Bethany is an experienced nanny and musician who is overjoyed to be joining Music Together Newburyport this fall. From teaching Sunday School, to playing with her nieces and nephews, loving on little ones and helping them grow has always been a passion.
Bethany is a Sophomore at the University of New Hampshire studying Vocal Performance with plans to get a master’s degree in Music Therapy. Throughout high school she played lead roles in musical productions such as Cinderella, Seussical, and Mamma Mia. When she reached the end of high school she came to realize that music and working with kids were the two things she couldn’t bear to let go of. She is abundantly grateful to have found a place where the two are so intimately connected in Music Together.
When she is not teaching or in class at UNH, Bethany enjoys surfing, rock climbing, photography, skiing, and making memories with her family. Anything that involves getting outside and being with the people she loves is where she wants to be. Eager to learn from the staff and students at Music Together Newburyport, Bethany hopes to be an enthusiastic addition to the Music Together community.
